Wedding Programs

Here are our lovely programs...hand saddle-stitched and all! I decided to go with a small booklet style to keep it cost effective and petite. Besides the different cover pages, my favorite part of the program is my timeline page...I created a brief timeline of our relationship and thought it would give the guests a little something to read while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Amazing! What a great idea to include a timeline!
Those are gorgeous! I love the timeline idea, so much fun.
oh my gosh, these are absolutely stunning! do you mind if i post them on my blog under my "daily.drool" category? appropriate credits will of course be applied.
p.s. congrats on your recent wedding!
Oh my goodness!!! I am in LOVE with these programs...what software did you use? Are you willing to share the template? What are the font types? Sorry, I am head-over-heals for the programs!!! Thank you, Dawn
Do you have templates that you used for your programs you would be willing to share? They are fantastic!
I designed them in Adobe InDesign. I am graphic designer and created the compositions so I didn't work from a template. So there really isn't any way for me to share them -- I'm sorry!!
I love your programs and am using them as inspiration for ours. I was wondering how big they are and how many pages they ended up being? They seem like the perfect size to hold all the pertinent info plus a few extras without being cumbersome. Thanks for posting such great pics!
Hi Lucinda! They are actually (when flat & opened) 8.5 x 4.5. I basically used a sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper and trimmed it in half. That way I could maximize the paper I had to use and still get a small program like I wanted. Hope this helps!
Thanks so much for the quick reply!!! I think we're going to go with 6"x6" due to some great paper I found. The thing I'm having trouble with is the binding. You say you "hand saddle-stitched" yours, but when I google that it comes up as stapling. How did you do it? Thanks for all the input!!! I'll send you pics when we're done!
Stapling is a form of saddle-stitch -- but what I did was actually use needle & thread to stitch up the book. It's a simple bookbinding technique...let me know if you can't find anything online and I will help you dig for info. Thanks! :)
Where did you get the adorable translucent paper? I've been looking everywhere for paper like that!
