Happy Weekend...A few thoughts..
It's a dreary Friday here in Chapel Hill...rain, rain and more rain. But, I'm headed to a wedding this weekend at the beach so hopefully the weather clears up soon.

As the holidays draw near, we are still undecided about when and where we'll move to..Savannah/Atlanta or beyond.. Our dilemma is the job market--my husband is graduating with a Master's degree in Public Administration in December and is in dire need of a j-o-b before we can pick up and move. So here's my plug--if any of you have any leads or connections preferrably in Savannah or Atlanta (we would also consider other cities along the east coast) please shoot me an email. Although I am biased--I think he is the most hardworking and intelligent person I know :)

On another note, this post by A Practical Wedding really got me thinking. I've struggled with this idea post-wedding and find it soothing to know other people out there feel the same way. A 2000 Dollar Wedding also had a guest blogger touch on the same idea. There are so many inspiring wedding blogs out there that highlight some of the most amazing events I've ever seen--but the reality is that I can't always relate. I had the wedding of my dreams that fit more along these lines, so I'm definitely not complaining. I'm just intrigued by the conversation and glad it's happening.
Well I guess I'll get back to the rain...hope you have a great weekend! I'll be back next week with a few more of my wedding day details (if you can't tell, I just got my photos from my photographer...I'm excited to share :)

I am not sure if you will remember me or not. It sure has been a long time since high school....I hope all is well with you! I am actually getting married in Savannah, GA in April of 2010 and I have recently been searching the internet looking for letterpress invitations when I found your fabulous blog last week!!! Your work is amazing!!!! I love Savannah and that is why I chose it for my wedding location. It is a wonderful city that still has that small town feel. SCAD is an excellent school and I love their involvement in the city. I am actually interested in speaking with you regarding invitations, if you feel up to it and would be glad to talk with you about Savannah if you wish. It truly is a GREAT city and I would move there it a heart beat if I had the opportunity. Please contact me when you can. My e-mail is cclaycom@wfubmc.edu.
Sincerely,
Courtney
Just came across your blog, which is amazing by the way. I live in Savannah and saw y'all are thinking of moving here...it is pretty darn fabulous. Though I will admit the job market is pretty competetive. Like the other poster mentioned, SCAD has had a wonderful impact on the city and has beautified many any old building. Just throwing in my two cents...if it's Savannah vs. Atlanta, I'd take Savannah any day of the week! Good luck with the job hunt and I'll definitely be on the lookout for y'all.
