Need help deciding..

So I need your advice -- iphone or blackberry? I'm going to cross over to the dark side and take my cell phone to a whole new level, but have had a hard time deciding which device to go for.  I'm a mac user and completely in love with all things apple however I've heard good things about the emailing capabilities of the blackberry. Any thoughts? Pros or Cons? Help!

I've heard really good things about the Blackberry Storm . . . it's a lot more like an Iphone than any other blackberry because it has a touch screen (and the whole screen clicks when you press it so you get better texting).

I've got my eye on getting one when my contract is up.

No question...iphone! Especially if you use a Mac. Blackberries are not all that compatible with Macs. I have both and have tons of experience with both. Get the iphone! :)

I've heard the Blackberry Storm has some issues that need to be worked out, not sure if that is true though. I have an iphone and I love, love, love it. But I'm an Apple lover in general so I would never go with the alternative when Apple has a product available.

I had a blackberry for almost 4 years and have had an iPhone for the last 7 months. Hands down, you should get the iPhone. if you are already a mac fan you will find the same graceful design and layout in the iPhone. It has honestly changed my life...I would never, ever, ever go back to the Blackberry or any other phone for that matter. When I first got the iphone it didn't have enterprise email support which was a big step backwards from the blackberrys email and calendar/contact sync capabilities. but with the release of the 2.0 software on the iPhone it does absolutely everything my blackberry did AND SOOOOOO MUCH MORE.

Def. the iPhone! My fiance' is a Mac user and he loves his iPhone, in fact, a lot of my friends have one and the love it as well. I have to say I wish I would have gotten it over my blackjack II. I play with my fiance's all the time lol.

Go for the iPhone! It's pretty.

The interface is simple yet brilliant, and the compatibility with your computer will be seamless!

iPhone...all the way. I love mine and I love that it works so well with my Mac.

If you're even thinking about getting a Blackberry Storm, google first!!! People hate it! Get a regular Blackberry if you have to get one.

I can't vouch for the Blackberry, but my husband has an iPhone and LOVES it. It is so user friendly, and since you're already familiar with the Mac interface it should be a smooth transition! Yay for a fun new phone, whichever you end up with!

iphone. Storm is having issues, as it is the first generation.

Ugh - so many blackberry haters here... just got mine on Wednesday and haven't put it down since! If this is business you're going for, get the blackberry.

PS - I actually just talked to someone the other day who just got rid of his iPhone for a Storm and loves it. So I guess it's 6 of one, half dozen of another.

I totally recommend spending a few hours with a friends iPhone then a friends Blackberry to make this decision. A lot of it will just come down to personal preference.

iphone, when the blackberry storm came out there were some really negative reviews, plus, it's not an iphone! as a mac user the decision is easy! but I agree you should try out both to make sure which one is right for you.

everyone I talk to says that the Blackberry touch isn't heat sensitive. So it's more effort to push the screen. It's not as sensitive as the Iphone. But hey, if you are a "leave your phone in your purse or pocket" kind of girl maybe that is better

I LOVE my iPhone. As lame as it is to say, it has changed my life. The compatibility issues you would have with a mac and a BB make this decision for you- The iPhone is meant and made to sync perfectly with your mac. :)

If you are a Mac user than there is no question that you should go with the iPhone. I have had both as well and not a day goes by that I don't fall deeper for my iPhone.

I've never commented here before (hi!) but I just had to say: IPHONE. It has completely changed my existence. I adore it. Seriously. HIGHLY recommend.

I love love love my i phone, but i have heard the blackberry is the best for emailing.
I dont think i could ever get rid of my iphone though, its just too much fun! :)

I'm having the same dilemma...can't wait to see what you decide. My home computer is a macbook, but I work on a PC. I use my BBerry all the time and like the BB messenger features - free conversation with hubbie and others...its a tough choice.

I had the Blackberry Pearl for a while and loved it. Then I dropped it, it broke and my sweet husband got me an iPhone for Christmas last year. I love, love, love my iPhone. I find it is much easier to type on the iPhone (at least compared to the Pearl). But I still get most of my long e-mails done at home on my Mac. So far the iPhone has also been more sturdy than I would have thought.

My husband has a Blackberry for work (not sure which model), but I know he would much prefer an iPhone.

i'm a big fan of your blog and decided to chime in on this one! ;)

i say: iphone, most definitely 100% all the way.

the big tech guy in my department at work is always on top of every phone technology that comes out and when the storm came out, he was there in stores testing it out the day of. he said it was horrible, it lagged and just wasn't the same as the iphone. the only beef he has with the iphone is the battery life, which i personally haven't had an issue with. (car chargers are your friend!) my iphone lags on me a little at times, but it's nothing i'm going to switch over. at my work everyone has to use blackberry but my boss carries 2 phones with him so he can use the iphone too. interesting with comments about the storm though - i guess it just comes down to preference. test them out! (but test the iphone first, haha)

i am a mac fan, i'll admit :: probably a little brainwashed (as my brother says) my boyfriend got the google phone and it's not bad, i'll give it that :) whew, that was long. i have lots of feelings about it, haha.

good luck with your choice .. let us know what you decide!
have a lovely weekend friend <3

iPhone. Period. I've been "that guy" in the line on opening day for both releases. I have the new black 3g 16 gb and don't know how I made it before. Hmm… How did I make it?

I don't see a dilemma here... i was not aware they made mobile devices other than iPhone anymore?

December 22, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterlovelymorning

If you're a Mac user, the integration of the iPhone and your computer is so natural.
