New Year's Eve

I feel as though I should say something profound -- it's New Year's Eve after all. This year has been a roller coaster and I can't believe how quickly it has passed. I remember last year at this time having so much enthusiasm for 2008, which may have been because I had just become engaged...but with so much that has come and gone, I feel slightly indifferent to the arrival of a New Year. Not that I'm not optimistic and excited about what's to come but I want to take the days one at a time--not be fixated on the future. (image by danske)

I'm not very good with resolutions -- I prefer to keep a list in my head hoping it doesn't fade away come February... (image by javertime)

Me and the hub are having a nice dinner out and then spending the evening with our pup at home...a quiet and lovely end to a blessed year. (image by ruthdickson)

In good reflective fashion at the close of any year...I wanted to share a few of my favorite posts before we wrap up 2008.

Two Weeks in November - proof that time passes too quickly
Glimpse: A chat with Chelsea of {frolic!} - a lovely chat
Big Blue - our beloved letterpress that we have already sold, at least it's in good hands! We produced our lovely invites with that guy.
Honest & True - of course, a shout out to my hub who keeps me at bay
sweet style. - when I first fell in love with wiksten style
Polaroid Bookshelf - an obsession that made me go crazy for film, holga, and ttv
House-Lust - the hub's chance to blog
Latest Fling: She & Him - another obsession, Zooey (second to the avetts)
. oh my deer . wedding - one of my favorite weddings of the year
Our own "Before & After" - so proud of our first upholstery project :)

Thanks for the favorite post, I missed the upholstery one and loved it. Especially at this moment when I am revamping my whole apt & furniture. Awesome job! (And I love your site).

Linked you to my blog, btw.

Happy new year!
