Daily Wear

Not sure if you noticed but I'm sort of into clothing ... always have been and I'm afraid always will be :) Since my blogging adventure began I've had several fabulous readers approach me with the idea of documenting my wardrobe -- I originally steered clear of the idea because I didn't want it to consume my blog or my life (takes a lot of work to photograph yourself that often!). However, I've come around to the idea :) So I'm going to begin a rotating banner on my blog that showcases my daily outfits which will be stored on my flickr site.

I want to preface this feature before I begin....I am a poor (soon to be) graduate student so about 85% of the time I shop strictly on sale. I'm not a big online shopper so I am generally confined to my local malls for store selection. I try my best to have fun with my wardrobe -- mix it up however but I'm still a bit modest and afraid of the crazyest of trends. I'm a sucker for comfort and hardly ever wear heels or uncomfortable garments.

Oh and I'll try my best to update "Daily Wear" daily -- we'll see how it goes :)

That's a fun idea! If I didn't have like 15 outfits that just rotated, I would totally be thinking about doing it too! I'll definitely be checking back in! I love being inspired by what other people wear :)

my new job is at a really great consignment shop in Asheville, The Enchanted Forrest... so come for a visit and you'll find some great things! ;)

But in case you can't come soon, explore the consignment in your area! It's a great way to reduce, reuse, and recycle!

I have to pay my own apartment, that I share with a good friend, and there isnt much left for any expensive clothes. :D But i love to create a style..of my own. (Im from Slovenia btw so sorry if my english isnt perfect. But as long as you undersand me..Im fine with it!)

I think you look super cute! I am also a poor, recently graduated student with a love of clothing and a huge debtload - so I can totally relate. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Wherever your clothes came from, you look stylish wearing them ! Thanks for the inspiration.

The way to take simple pieces and put them together to make such stylish outfits is great. It's inspiration that not everything has to be super trendy to look stylish.
I had never heard of Bitten before your post - come to find out it's the SJP line. Where do you buy these items? I live in Raleigh NC and have never seen it before.

January 14, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKim Wike

Yep! Bitten is SJP's line and it can only be found at Steve & Barry's -- the closest one to me (and I live in Chapel Hill) is High Point, NC.

Um . . . It would be even cooler if you made your outfits!! I'm working on a green dress right now - and I expect a "look how amazingly cool my friend is" post. Love you Whitney!

so is the goal to see how long you can go without repeating an outfit?

August 17, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterjackie

Hi Jackie! Not really -- I definitely repeat outfits, that's why I don't do my daily wear everyday. It can be a bit tricky to find a new ensemble day after day.

Love your sense of style, I get a sense of your personality. As a fellow sale shopper, I get a kick outta how much things cost, have you ever thought of posting the prices, just for fun

I work from home and I thought about doing this on my blog just to prove to the world that I don't wear pajamas all day. Looks great!
