Bitten
Wednesday, January 14, 2009 Thank you all for the nice feedback and encouragement on my daily wear adventure. I feel a bit vulnerable posting my wardrobe like that -- but thank you. I've gotten several comments/queries about the denim trapeze shirt I wore on 01-04-09 (love, love, love that shirt) and it happens to be from Sarah Jessica Parker's line Bitten -- Have you heard of Bitten? I'm often surprised when people haven't -- because all of the items are under $20! So it's a nice, scaled-down version of a Forever 21 or H&M.
The only catch is that the clothes can only be purchased at Steve & Barry's department stores. And of course when you go a cheaper route, clothes might not always fit the best but it's a great place to find superb deals :)

It feels odd that you just wrote about Bitten. My roommate just gave me a shirt last week that i LOVE and when someone complimented me and asked where it was from I had to check the tag because I didn't know. I saw "Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker" on it and I was all 'whaa?". Never heard of it. I decided then I was going to seek out the rest of the line and stock up. Good to know it's all cheapy stuff so I can indulge!
the most comfy shoes I own are SJP bitten..I literally worn them to the ground...which was an entire year of wearing them
But FYI..it is going to be harder and harder to find..Steve and Barrys closed about 90% of their stores when they filed
It's true: a bunch of their stores are closing- and while this is super sad- its also a little bit awesome-
Over Christmas break I happened to go "Bitten" Crazy while in Dallas, visiting my family.
1 short sleeved cream cardigan - $5
1 three quarterlength black cardigan - $5
4 pairs of khaki's in various shades - $ 5 each
1 pair of black leggings (the best fit of leggings I've found YET for being super tall) - $4
3 pairs of dress pants, various shades - $8 each
1 navy blue pin stripped skirt - $5
2 cute preppy striped long sleeved tees - $5 each
1 black button up shirt - $5 each
2 sweaters - $8 each
Starting 2009 with an entire new work woredrobe for under $100 - priceless.

if you find a S&B's going out of business- TAKE YOUR TIME to riffle through the piles of clothes- its definetely worth it.
I'm usually not a fan of SJP, but I have to admit this "Bitten" line is really pretty. So sad we don't have these S&B stores in France... I'm stuck with H&M !
i am so sad to hear that steve & barry's is another victim of this economy!? i LOVE my bitten stuff. it has all held up well considering the cost. i'm looking right now to see where there are stores left to visit....
