Saying Goodbye
We're packing up our Savannah home and leaving town this weekend. The mental and physical process is such a strange roller coaster - I'm completely ecstatic about moving but when you look at the empty walls of a house you've lived...gosh, that can get ya. I've had a love/hate relationship with our historic home:
The backyard with so much promise yet infested with mosquitos.
Our serene and light-flooded bedroom that housed our bed, and that was it.
The fact that we were in a duplex really limited the natural light we could get in our living room. It felt like a dungeon even on the brightest days.
But our kitchen was the absolute best place for me to shoot.
Any-who. Everything is in boxes now but it was such a treat to decorate this place and make it our home. If you'd like to see more photos of the way it was, you can see more here.

I can relate with you about moving. Your house looks beautiful but I'm excited to see what your new house looks like and how you'll decorate it!

I wish you guys all the luck with the move!! Even with the things that may have drove you crazy about your home I know it will still be hard to leave, so keep your heads up and looking forward you have lots wonderful things ahead of you!!. It will be good to have you guys in the northeast with the rest of us!
I completely understand and know what you mean. I've had to pack up and leave a few times in the last decade and it's never easy on the heart, even when it wasn't the best of homes... I'm sure you'll make the new place "your home" in no time! Good luck with the move :)
