Black Tiles

I've never really thought much about bathroom floor tiles. I mean, I'm a renter and can't even imagine buying anytime soon, so choices for flooring never really crossed my mind. However, when I saw Rebecca's bathroom renovation and her use of black floor tiling, it really caught my attention. I could hardly notice the shiny new fixtures or beaming green wall, all I could see were those delicious floor tiles.

You have to her before pictures below, major upgrade. I wish there was a law to banish linoleum flooring.

Then last week on Door Sixteen, Anna shared more of her bathroom renovation that was featured on Decor8 awhile back and ta-da, another amazing use of black tiles.

thanks, whitney! the tiles in my bath are 1.5" hexagonal tiles, matte black with black grout. there are a lot of different brands out there, but ours was American Olean, i think.

I think these tiles stand out so much because they're hexagonal. It's a great idea to use round or hex tiles as a kitchen back splash too- so much more visually interesting than square tiles!
