weeHouse
After spending too much time on the weeHouse website -- the hub and I are ready to find a piece of land and plop one of these prefab homes on to it. How great is this, a modern house that comes already constructed and all you have to do is "just add water!"

That is seriously SO cool! I love that idea! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
We have a great little .5 acre lot in High Point....
they have such lovely houses on that site!
Yes! Yes! Yes!
I'm in the process of planning to do this too. Not sure how long it will take little ole me to do on my own, but the idea feels so right and fills me with hope.
These are the cutest houses ever! This is not what I had in mind when you first said pre-fab. Now I want one, too!
so stinking cool!
Those are amazing!! Thats what my husband and I are trying to do someday soon. We've had our eye on http://claytonihouse.com . They are surprisingly comparable in price range to the weeHouses.
Land in Effingham county has got to be cheaper than Chatham, and its pretty out here!
oh, I also forget to mention I saw a news segment stating that the ihoue is so efficient , utilities would cost you $1 a day. $1 !!!
This is great! My parents are thinking of building their new house for retirement on one of our old farmsteads, and this would be perfect! I'm emailing them right away! I hope this style of building (size, price, efficiency, etc.) will become the new trend in home-building!
Yeah I like this idea too. I remember my sister and husband were thinking of doing this once but perhaps they chickened out... I would love to know more about the process from someone who's really going through it!
perfect in the.... MOUNTAINS!
Ooh that DOES make me want a weeHouse. It might even make me want to move to Effingham (even though I snort with laughter every time I see the word written on buildings and car tags) if I could find land to put one on!
Absolutely Amazing!
These are amazing - thanks for sharing! I now have something to look at all day. :)
Thanks for mentioning us on this Blog ... and for the great comments. Wee luvs to be appreciated. I'm trying to keep our Blog updated with real-life examples of the joys, but ALSO the challenges of building contemporary prefab these days. The process can take a while, and a KEY to making the project successful is an excellent licensed general contractor who will help coordinate the elements (foundation, 'set', button-up, driveway, garage, etc. :)!). When we hear of good ones, we take note! Thanks again, Betsy, Chiefette Propagandist for the weeHouse
I am currently researching these type of homes. Love your post...very timely!
I am so excited to see these -- thank you! My wife and I have been talking about downsizing, and these are the perfect solution!
I obsessed over these all week-end after reading about them here. I would definitely need a customized version because I need some control over the design process (especially the kitchen), but they are definitely on our short list of house plans for when we are ready to build. It is so hard to find an affordable, simple design with a wide open floor plan, and these fit our criteria almost perfectly. I really love the materials used throughout, particularly the exterior.
I want the red one, with the second story, please.
Oh! I love your blog and this post ...! I really hope to take a camping trip and would be so nice to stay in a place like this!! How dreamy & MODERN! I have the same lamp over my dining table too!
