Wooden Spools of Thread
I found these old wooden spools of thread in my mom's sewing room yesterday and nearly peed my pants (eww, sorry, that was pretty gross to type). But really, what an amazing find. The colors are so rich! I quickly snapped a few pictures but can't wait to take them home with me and compose a few still life images.

i have a BUNCH of those too and I use them as decoration in a vase in my studio :) LOVE them!

Beautiful! Such great colors.
This summer I picked up a huge case full of thread and some spools like these! Unfortunately, I have no way of showing them off right now. Eventually, I'll put together a wall rack to put them all on. I think it would be a fantastic and colorful way to bring some function and pizazz to my sewing room!
