Hello, New York
We finally have internet again! and we've moved! and completely unpacked! Sorry for the excitement, but it's the little things, right? :) Anywho...we moved safely to NY and are settling in quite nicely. Our little studio in the East Village has great natural light, I'll share a few pics later on this week. We love the neighborhood and really don't know where to start, there are so many restaurants and shops. So far, so good :)
(Side Note) Oh my, I'm in love with this wedding dress. Photo by Jill Thomas.

so exciting, whitney! can't wait to see photos of the new place
As a fellow New Yorker I welcome you. I live upstate but have family in the city so know it well. Enjoy your time in this wonderful city.
I looked at the wedding & it was so charming just like this dress! So glad your back & you love your new place. Natural light is my favorite to.
I can't wait to see your place! (!!!)
Welcome to NY! Can't wait to see what your place looks like!
I lived in the East Village for quite some time. It is totally lovely. Even St. Marks, with its goth teeny-boppers has its charms (well, from 1,000 miles away at least). Lots of cute little clothing stores between 2nd Ave and Ave A on 9th/10th Streets, if I recall. Oh oh oh! You'll find the BEST espresso at this tiny Brazilian place on 7th and 1st Avenue, on the south side of the street. Try it--they're super nice there and the cappuccinos are amazing.
Yay! Moving is always a hassle... let alone moving to a completely different state! Glad to hear you love your new 'hood!
Congrats on the move + new apartment. (And natural light makes everything better!)
oh my, any idea where that necklace is from?!
Hooray! Congrats on a safe & easy move :)
Congrats on the move. I'm sure you will have a magical time in NYC!
Congrats on getting settled - I can't wait to see pictures. This wedding gown is insanely perfect!
Welcome! Some of my favorite restaurants are in the East Village! Veselka is so delicious, you have to order the baked chocolate custard when you get dessert. Counter (organic, vegan) is good and pretty snazzy. Most of the Thai around there is decent. Kate's Joint over on Ave. B I think, sloppy delicious veggie diner food. And my all time favorite ice cream place, Sundaes and Cones, is on 10th. Clearly the food is what matters most to me. Have fun!
Yay! Glad you made it. That dress is heaven.
WEEEE, you live in my fave hood, I hope you enjoy it, and don't kill each other, a studio is hard hard hard.
i love east village....was fortunate enough to get to stay with some friends who lived there a year ago...and i loved every minute of being there....
can't wait to hear about your adventures living there and in school :)
