My Inspiration Notebook
I have tons of inspiration I keep on my desktop, on my tumblr, or even here on my blog -- but nothing compares to the physical artifact of a notebook. I have a box of notebooks with the visual journals I kept during college and throughout the past few years that are fun to pull out from time to time. Here's a little peek of what's happening right now in my inspiration notebook.

Do you use a lot of magazines? Now that the world is so digital, I feel I've lost touch with the tactile of collage inspiration. So I'm curious how you keep up?
lovely! I adore going through old journals to see what inspired me at that point. (And the "Whitney" tag has me pining even more for a typewriter of my own to personalize.. well.. everything!)
I love your journal. I've kept journals since I was little and one of my favorite things to do is to go back and look at them. Yours is beautiful. xo
lovely! i agree. nothing compares to a physical notebook. there's something about seeing a stack of old journals.. and i love going through them years later. don't even get me started on the smell of paper cemented pages.
WOW.. such a gorgeous inspiration journal!! I've seen many online and I've tried one myself (mostly by putting magazine pages in sheet protectors) but this....this book of yours is intentional, creative, pretty and so organized. I was speechless when I saw the photos. Am printing the post immediately to have as inspiration. THANKS!!!
PS: I am a bit overwhelmed by all the inspiration - I keep photos on my computer, plus print out some, plus there are stacks of torn-out magazine pages. Feels like too much. Any advice?
these are lovely, and inspiring! i keep stacks of papers and pictures torn out in a drawer--this makes me want to whip out the elmer's!
I love the simplicity of your layouts. I tend to fill my white space with notes and doodles, but that sometimes makes it hard to go back and appreciate what was inspiring in the first place! The wire-bound notebook also makes it nice and flat. All-around inspiring!
so simple and lovely. i did this in design school, but i havent kept it up. time to go through my stacks of magazines! :)

Ok, you have just inspired me to do this!! I'm starting today! Love your journal it's absolutely gorgeous! (and after reading bea's comment, i might have to get the rubber cement out for this!) Thanks for posting this!
I absolutely LOVE getting a peek into others design/sketch/inspiration books. I always find it to be like getting a peek into somebody's most private thoughts, even if it's simply a collection images, colors, shapes, etc.
There's something wildly personal, but really exciting about books like this. Thanks for sharing!
wow nice to know about your inspirational notebook..:)
Last blog's Prince ronel and iamronel
Such a great idea! I have a stash of magazines with sticky tabs, and putting them in one place never crossed my mind! Thanks for sharing!
that's so neat that you take the time to do that! it's a whole nother realm than just cataloging things on a blog.
love ur notebook, so organized & visually appealing, I need to do that for my home interiors inspirations :)
Wow, yours are much more organized than mine are. Kudos! Looks like they're full of great inspiration.
The anthropologie shirt in your last image just went on sale, 50% off! (Too bad it's still $99!)

Sketchbook and journals are so wonderful - thanks for the peek!
I love this; every girl should have one tucked in their purse. Then at night, over a glass of wine, out come the scissors and glue stick. Divine.

It's good that we can take the loans moreover, it opens new chances.
