Breezy Blue Dress

Several months ago, I found this blue floral fabric at a thrift store in Providence, RI. I placed it in my pile of fabric remnants and quickly forgot about it. But I was recently in the mood to make myself a comfy, day dress...something light-weight and with big pockets. My vintage blue fabric was perfect.

The fabric itself is some type of poly-silk blend ... but I love how cool it feels especially during this extreme heat we've been having.

I love that feeling of finding a forgotten item. Especially when it's an article of clothing that's perfect for wearing that very day.

Love a dress with pockets. And anything that makes you want to twirl is a win.

nice work! The heat has inspired me to make some easy light dresses with vintage fabric too. It's just the most comfortable thing in 90 degrees.
