Archives

For me, I use tumblr to gather and bookmark online inspiration. There is this great function that visually archives your posts into a thumbnail library. I love this. Every tumblr template has a unique way of archiving, below is mine, check out a recent post from Jane about her archive. Oh, and if you tumble, hit me up.

Oh weird, I clicked the Tumbler link, and apparently I have an account... I don't ever remember signing up for one... and I even have three people following me... Weird!! So how do I get it to do what you did with the thumbnails and all...?

I've been wanting to create a personal blog for quite sometime now, but as of recently I've been torn between tumblr or wordpress. I have friends who use both and it looks like tumblr is mostly useful for single pictures, links, small amounts of copy.
Since you have quite the archive built up on it what are your thoughts of it? I'm pretty sure I'm going to make a tumblr account I just want to make sure what I use if for will be most beneficial for myself and will use tumblr to it's fullest potential, by posting the relevant content. ( I see it as a step in between a full blog and a twitter/fb update)

Tumblr is GREAT! and my favorite feature is the archive! I started tumbling to catch all the pics I love, but no can't find a "reason" to post it on my CrushParty blog...ummm when I just feel lazy and don't want to lose a picture.
