Kelly's Wedding Dress

The hub and I love what we do, and every time I head to the bridal suite to begin photographing a wedding I'm always curious what the dress will be like. I've seen a good amount of dresses in my day, making me a bit judgmental -- I can't help it! But several weeks ago, Kelly mentioned to me that she used her mother's wedding dress and reworked it...and to me, it turned out just perfect.

Not sure how interested you are wedding gowns, I just so happen to photograph them every weekend -- and what makes me swooon from time to time is when the dress comes out of the bag, without tags.

The lace from Kelly's moms dress had not changed colors, no stains, in perfect condition. She ditched the sleeves, reworked the underneath, and had the perfect heirloom gown. I loved how it hit right at her ankles and had a jeweled mandarin collar (all original).

It's a great dress and I love the location they chose for the wedding! It must have been quite the beautiful experience shooting at this wedding, the cupcakes in the barn and pennants add a really nice touch. :)
