The little house that could.

Although we've been in NC for the past two weeks -- we have yet to make it into our little ranch summer house. It turned out to be in slightly rougher shape than we had hoped so my father-in-law (who owns the home) has been working to paint, clean, replace windows, and fix it up for us. There's not stress or frustration here, we've just had to rearrange our plans slightly.

It does, however, make me feel pretty good about renting. And because I know the landlord quite well, I have some input into things like new doors or shaping up the yard.

Anywho, that should explain the quietness over here on my blog. But soon I'll have a completely bare, white-walled, ranch home to decorate...and that I can't wait to share!

Can I please have a nook like this? Plants and white walls, love it.

Hello Whitney,
You will have lots of fun decorating your ranch home.
I can't wait to read the first post and see the first pictures about your "decorating journey".
Being able to have an input in things new doors etc is a big advantage. So you are lucky there.
Most landlords wouldn't listen to the renter and just put in what meets their budget the best.
Best Regards
Paula Jo
