2013 Bridesmaids + Garden Party Dresses

So excited to introduce silk solid fabric into the mix! I'm loving this fabric, it's a silk sueded charmeuse so it's super soft and has a light shine. The new fabrics blend well with the current printed fabric options and the contrast between the cotton and silk is just lovely!

Ambrosia in Graphite

Bellis in Coral

While I'm sewing away on my latest collection (set to launch next week!) these two keep me inspired and happily distracted.

Glory Maeve's Nursery

I really enjoyed putting together a nursery -- there's already so much excitement with the anticipation of a baby and to create a little space just for them is pretty sweet. Her room gets an amazing amount of natural light throughout the day and so I wanted to preserve that peaceful feeling by keeping the decor light and simple.

I reused a lot of things that I already had, like most of the prints on the wall and decorations on the shelf. We were gifted the amazing rocking horse from my brother and sister-in-law, can't wait to put that to use. Our sweet friends, Rachel and Tyler gave us the personalized wooden camera, so cute! And my mom made her the beautiful quilt and owl pillow.

Shana Luther

Remember when I splurged on this bag for my birthday? Well, I used that everyday until I had a baby and was forced to carry something larger for the necessary baby items. I love small, convienent, and hands-free purses and always keep an eye out for my next one. It's important to me to get something stylish, versatile, and strong because I'm not one to switch up handbags and will literally use the same bag for years at a time.

Shana Luther's Maria Clutch fits the bill and I love the color options. All of Shana's bags are designed and produced in Brooklyn, NY and just so you know, she's as awesome as her work -- we photographed her Brooklyn wedding last year during a freak NYC snowstorm (in OCTOBER!) and the couple didn't even blink an eye.

New Year? Resolutions?

I like the idea of New Year's resolutions but I rarely do it. But it's nice every year to freshen up, recharge, and get the year started right even if you don't have any major goals. I did, however, proposition to my hub something to "try-out" for the month of January...no eating out. Here we are at day 11 still going strong, but it has been pretty tough. Since we work from home together, going out for a bite to eat is such a great break in our day. I'll report back at the end of the month to let you know how it went!

Here are my loves testing out a portable high chair..you know, for when we start to eat out again :)

Happy Holidays!

What a year this has been! It was so difficult at times yet filled with the most remarkable blessings I could imagine. As I type this, I have a little baby sleeping on my lap and even though I'm not sure as to what the next year will bring, I trust that it will be full of laughter and happiness with this little one! I wish you all a wonderful holiday and I'll see you on the other side!

Here is Glory Maeve all dressed up to visit with Santa for the first time. Gold shoes are essential.

Oh, Darling! Lovelies

Amidst sewing away on dresses and a late summer maternity leave, I was able to continue photographing weddings with my hub this year. He deserves so much praise for going above and beyond where I wasn't able to and for picking up my slack when I needed to rest my feet..or eat :) Somehow every year we have these amazing couples reach out to us to photograph their wedding -- people who care more about a genuine, love-filled union than an elaborate affair. Which, to us, is exactly how it should be.

Here are a few of our effortlessly beautiful brides from 2012...of course you can see more of our work from this year on our Oh, Darling! blog.
