I would say my two greatest passions are photography and clothing -- pretty obvious, right? So you could imagine my delight when I happened upon Gwen Samuel's work. She stitches together transparencies that have been printed on with images -- to create dresses. Would I not give to see an exhibition. Truly beautiful work. 

..I'd love to snag something from these two shops when they have updates. For some reason, I'm either too slow when I click or I remember the shop update a few hours too late.

Here are a few lovely and fresh arrangements from the floral & event design company, Poppies & Posies, to warm you up for the weekend. The temps in the southeast have been hovering around below freezing for days -- I take it as preparation for our move to NYC next week :)

Remember Alli Coate's awesome embroidery work? She recently launched a fabric jewelry line and I love her pendant necklaces. 

It's way past time to tell anyone what I'd like for Christmas  but post-holiday is the perfect time for self-purchases :) Starting with this braided loop scarf from Uniform Natural.

The newest season of Project Runway starts in January and I already have a favorite. I love the work from Anna Lynett, simple color palette, lovely construction, and a nod to school uniforms. Who knows how the show will shape out ... the very idea of conceptualizing, shopping for fabric, and creating a garment in a day makes my head spin ... but I can wait to see more from her.

Love, love, love these fashion illustrations by Miss Capricho. Spotted over on Two Brunettes last week, I couldn't help but share. The blend of line drawing with selective watercolor is perfect -- each girl has her own personality and style..

I'm not sure if I love the illustration or the description better...

I can't wrap my head around that we're already into the month of October -- but now I'm seeing 2010 calendars?! Thankfully, the illustrations from the Ink+Wit calendars are getting me excited for the new year.
