magazine Have you heard? Southern Weddings Magazine is launching Jan 6th and I am so honored to be a part of it! Take a look at a sneak peek of my spreads below. Can't wait to see the magazine in person :) Be sure to grab a copy next week!

Almost shed a tear after watching this one -- oh how I miss Blueprint! This is a great little video though, I interned at Martha Stewart Living Magazine last summer and it's fun to reminisce. This video is filmed at the Starrett-Lehigh building on 26th St. but Living was housed on 42nd St. I did have the chance to hang out over there during a few photo shoots and roam the famous prop room! Shout out to my intern-buddy Jenny :)
One of my most memorable experiences this summer working for martha stewart was having the opportunity to assist with a Weddings photo shoot. Anything that has to do with invitations, jewelry, and gowns .. doesn't disappointment me :-) Along with my fellow intern, Jenny, our primary task was to create and produce the balloon banners you see hanging in this season's story, "A Return to Glamour." Though you only see one or two in the magazine, we created several of these ceiling-to-floor length banners that seemed larger than life...especially when Jenny and I had to haul them from 36th to 42nd street! So heavy and hilarious :-)
I am a big fan of the British home decor magazine, Living Etc. It's a fabulous place to find modern living and fresh decorating ideas. And like most publications these days, they have great resources on the web as well. Below are a few images from their online gallery...

Oh it's a sad day when you find out that your favorite magazine is closing. Blueprint was my favorite publication not only because it was so well designed, but it offered a nice combination of topics (home, fashion, beauty, health, etc..) for women of my age. At least for the blogging community, Bluelines will still be kept up!
