New Year? Resolutions?

I like the idea of New Year's resolutions but I rarely do it. But it's nice every year to freshen up, recharge, and get the year started right even if you don't have any major goals. I did, however, proposition to my hub something to "try-out" for the month of January...no eating out. Here we are at day 11 still going strong, but it has been pretty tough. Since we work from home together, going out for a bite to eat is such a great break in our day. I'll report back at the end of the month to let you know how it went!

Here are my loves testing out a portable high chair..you know, for when we start to eat out again :)

Happy Holidays!

What a year this has been! It was so difficult at times yet filled with the most remarkable blessings I could imagine. As I type this, I have a little baby sleeping on my lap and even though I'm not sure as to what the next year will bring, I trust that it will be full of laughter and happiness with this little one! I wish you all a wonderful holiday and I'll see you on the other side!

Here is Glory Maeve all dressed up to visit with Santa for the first time. Gold shoes are essential.

I'm still here!

I am indeed still here! The past few weeks have been vivid and a blur at the same time and I feel like life is finally beginning to feel a little more normal. Motherhood is definitely a shock to the system since I've only ever cared for myself -- now there is this tiny creature that needs me to do everything for it. It's one of those things that you can't fully understand until you actually experience.

Glory Maeve is coming to life and to hear the coos and see the first few smiles is truly amazing. I had hardly changed a diaper and barely knew how to hold a baby before she was born, so the two of us have really come along way in the past few weeks. I'm a mama (still so strange to say!).
