Anyone else out there ready to begin layering?! I love a change in season and anticipate it way earlier than I should but it's fun to daydream about adding new pieces to your wardrobe to compliment existing staples. With this outfit I'm layering a checkered button-up with vibrant, slouchy red sweater. I've got a few pairs of these toothpick style pants and I just can't say goodbye to my pons sandals yet! Top it all off with a patterned infinity scarf and these super fun hexy earring studs.

I should probably have a disclaimer with this "current obessesion" blog post because I'm typing it at seven months pregnant when barely nothing in my wardrobe fits -- but for some reason, I'm pretty sure I'd be crushing over this type of pant if I was my normal size. I say this because I hate buying maternity clothes and desparately seek out wardrobe staples that will cross over post-patrum. So ta-da! I gave this pair of Jcrew linen drawstring pants a go and have been so glad I did. Now I'm scouring the internet for more chic drawstring options..
This pair I found during the Steven Alan online sale by Sessun...
Ohhh and this chambray pair, also from Jcrew..
I made a batch of my favorite summer tunic in this lovely (limited edition) grey silk fabric -- available next week in my etsy shop. Simply put, it's buttery. I'm typically a big fan of a tunic but it's also working really well right now for my growing baby bump. It's light-weight, comfy, and chic.
I've had interest in the pattern that I used for this tunic. It's actually my pattern and hope to have it available to purchase as a PDF download in the coming weeks.
The temps may be inching up to summer heat, but I'm always on the hunt for a light-weight cardigan. Is it just me, or do restaraunts and stores abuse the air conditioner during summer months? I usually keep something for my arms stored away in my purse at all times..
I'm pretty sure I could slip into the Muji pieces below and call it my uniform for winter (except when it's terribly cold and I need something more for my feet). A tunic, leggings, and super comfy sweater are staples for me...what about you?
This fall I decided it was time to look for a new pair boots. Easy, yes? Well, not necessarily. I feel like I always have a long list of things I'm looking for in shoes -- comfort, style, color, ease, longetivity..especially in a cooler weather shoe.
I happened upon this crazy for you boot by Seychelles and have officially deemed it my must have shoe this fall. I have it in black but am contemplating a purchase in the whiskey color above..
Do you have a favorite boot/shoe? I'd love to hear...
