I'm loving these looks from Totokaelo -- I've been so fixated with bright spring colors lately that I was caught off guard with how much I loved these navy outfits. It's like an updated nautical look without going too far. 

I decided to pop back in a give you a little color for your weekend. Winter doesn't seem like it's going to end here on the east coast -- gray sky for days....so I was delighted to see a peak at Nadinoo's spring/summer collection full of yummy prints and lovely colors. 

I love this little film displaying the Orla Kiely S/S 2010 collection -- note to self, must wear white socks with oxfords. Well, as soon as the weather warms up.

I'm taking a fashion branding course and was recently assigned Marimekko as the topic for a project -- I was definitely familiar with the array of textile design from the company but had never really explored the clothing design. After searching the Marimekko website, I was in love with the clean and simplistic lines of the garments. The two dresses below really stood out to me, I loved their character despite the lack of color.

I survived. On Sunday I was an intern at the Juan Carlos Obando show for the front-of-house (aka) place the seating cards, hand out gifts, etc... Though I don't necessarily see myself heading down the road of high fashion as a designer, it was was definitely an exciting experience. Two-minutes before show time I was pulled to the front row to sit in an empty seat, so I whipped out my iPhone and enjoyed the upclose and personal view...brushing elbows with the magazine elite. Yeah, right!

The lovely Ellenizta does an amazing job of mixing patterns and textures in her clothing. I dig her sense of style.

I'm intrigued by thigh-high tights -- I even own a pair, but haven't yet gotten up the courage to wear them. Styled here from Sublet Clothing, they look cute and carefree.

It's fashion week here in NY -- and thanks to modern technology, a few shows are being streamed live. I watched Ports 1961 this afternoon, below are two of my favorite looks. Hello, pink tights and look at the print on that dress! I definitely don't have anywhere fancy enough to wear anything like that, but it's fun to look at :)
