Barbara Tfank Fall 2012
A little Joan Holloway inspiration coming at ya from Barbara Tfank's fall 2012 collection. Sometimes all a girl needs is to flip out her hair and put on a classic number.

Two things to say about this...
I couldn't be more ready to show my legs again (come on winter) and there is nothing more pleasing than basics.

shopping/fashion Do you ever go weeks at a time wearing just about the same thing everyday? I wouldn't call it a rut, just your go-to pieces. I've been wearing a fall uniform ever since the first leaf dropped. Comfy and simple is so hard to beat, but I should probably mix it up before the neighbors start to talk.
Anywho! Here she is...

Jeans - Uniqlo, Scarf - Target, Striped Tee - Jcrew, Shoes - Clarks (this is the most comfortable shoe I've every put on my foot), Glasses - Ray-Ban
shopping/fashion I stumbled across a pair of cream oxfords earlier this year in a magazine and completely lost the issue, but the shoes stuck in my mind. To my surprise, one of my stylish brides wore them for her wedding, and they were even better in person.
Her whole get-up was pretty awesome, see more over on Oh, Darling! or their feature on Ruffled.

Oh! And the shoes are Charles David.

shopping/fashion,
weddings Can't get enough of these looks from Valentino Spring 2012. A little bit romantic, a touch of bohemian, simple silhouettes with gorgeous fabrication...and of coures, short sleeves! And paired with heidi braids, love!

shopping/fashion When I was getting married, I knew I wanted to use dresses with pattern fabric for my bridesmaids. Unfortunately, there wasn't really anything out there at the time -- So, we made our own!
That idea was my inspiration behind the bridesmaid/garden dresses in my collection. Mix and match dress styles, mix and match patterns, and everyone gets pockets! I'm offering 5 fabric options right now, but will be adding to that soon!

my work,
shopping/fashion,
weddings One thanks is for Myra of Twigs & Honey. First of all, she's awesome, and secondly, she makes beautiful hair accessories. Sometimes a simple, sweet wedding dress just needs that perfect touch to make it feel complete, and that's where Twigs & Honey comes in. Her work is goregous and well made, so what more could you ask for.

Secondly, I met the Seychelles gals earlier this year at a Smilebooth event. They were so great that they made me want to come work for them! And their shoes were pretty rad too. I just knew they would look perfect with my dresses!
